SUBCLAVIUS MUSCLE
This small muscle stretching under the shoulder from the first rib
to the collarbone would be useful if humans still walked on all fours.
Some people have one, some have none, and a few have two.

Palmaris Longus
An extrinsic flexor muscle of the wrist/hand.  It originates from
the common flexor tendon arising from the medial epicondyle of the
humerus.  It does not insert into a bone as most muscles do, but
rather into the palmar aponeurosis.  To see if you have this
muscle, look at the palm of your hand; touch the tip of your thumb
to the tip of your pinkie.  Now bend your wrist slightly.  If you see
a slender tendon pop up in the middle of your wrist, you have one!
Now check the other wrist.
Q.
Many people forget that King David, who ruled Israel from 1010 B.C.E. to 970 B.C.E., was not an
Israelite by birth.  Where was David’s mother from?
A.
WINNER - Julie Weighman
Interestingly, David's Paternal Grandmother, Ruth was a Moabite.

Nitzevet was David's Mother.  I believe David's Mother's birthplace was Judah - one of the tribes of Israel.

Some might think that David was born of the union of Jesse (David's Father) and his maidservant who was a Canaanite. But I
think the most popular story is that he was born of Nitzevet. The story goes that Jesse (David's Father) started questioning
his lineage because his Grandmother Ruth was a Moabite and it was not legal to marry a Moabite because they were mean to
Moses and his band when they crossed through the desert upon the exodus from Egypt. So Jesse stopped having sex with
Nitzeveh and made a plan to have sex with his maidservant who was a Canaanite so that he could produce a pure lineage
offspring. But the maidservant  and Nitzevet tricked Jesse. Jesse had sex with Nitzevet when he thought he was having sex
with the maidservant. (The Bible/Torah has a lot of stories like this) Consequently Nitzevet got pregnant and so David's
brothers wanted to kill their mother for assumingly conceiving an illegitimate child.  But Jesse said to not kill her and David
was raised as an outcast, shunned by his brothers, and sent to be a shepard - a very dangerous job in those days. But when
Samson a prophet of G*d went looking for a new King (to replace Saul who was going a bit crazy and was of way too pure of
lineage) it was discovered that David was really Jesse's son.  Samson made David  King. The Davidic lineage is not pure but it
created a great King.
Q.
Which orchestral instrument plays a
note before a concert to which the
other instruments are tuned?
roads or, colloquially, crossroads. The derivative trivialis
carried the sense of common, ordinary, of the crossroads,
the sort of thing found anywhere, which influenced the
modern meaning of trivial as of no importance. But trivium
played an important role in Medieval education that led
more directly to our modern sense of trivia. The trivium
(the three ways or three roads) was the first stage of a
classical education at the university level, composed of
rhetoric, grammar and logic. This was followed by the
more advanced postgraduate quadrivium (four ways) of
arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy. Since the
trivium was considered the basics, the derivative trivia
eventually came to mean less important matters.
