Much of our story is a mystery yet to be unraveled. We know that Daryl's "birthday" is January 25,
1947 and that Daryl's "birthday" is February 11, 1947. Both Aquarians. Coincidence?
We suspect we were Siamese twins, joined at the head, and separated at birth. How else can you explain
the striking resemblance? We both have scars on our heads that may be the point of separation. That
would also explain why our mothers - on many occasions - referred to us as having only "half-a-brain".
As if that were not enough, Daryl grew up in the small town of Augusta, Michigan while Daryl grew up in
the town of Parma, Michigan - only 30 miles apart! AND BOTH TOWNS ARE NAMED AFTER CITIES IN
ITALY! Coincidence? We don't think so!
What the young Daryls may have looked like had they not been separated!!

For 45 years we didn't know the other existed, then in 1977 Daryl moved to Augusta, only five miles from Daryl! Our paths finally
crossed at a mountain bike race in 1993. Daryl noticed that there was another racer the same age, racing in the same category from the
same town! When Daryl located Daryl at the race, it was like looking in the mirror. Except for the difference in the shape of our noses,
our jaw lines, our eyes, skin tone, and hair color, we looked exactly alike! Of course that's obvious when viewing the picture above. As we
began to learn more about each other, we discovered that we had many common links. We both flew model airplanes. We both liked to
mountain bike. We both spent a considerable amount of time in the principal's office growing up. We both made up the same kind of bad
jokes. We both could recognize the year and model of every car built between 1937 and 1970. We both were talented do-it-
yourselfers. We both were prolific "idea men". And, we both brushed our teeth and flossed in the car!We even had the same
line of work. We were both in the repair business. Daryl was a computer/printer repair tech for IBM and Daryl was a physical
therapist. The similarities in our lives were beyond belief! We both married young. We are both still married to the same woman (well
not the same woman. They are two different women, but they are the same ones we originally started out with.) We both had two
children - all of which have blue eyes and type “O” blood! When Daryl's daughter, Darylene, met Daryl for the first time she was
flabbergasted! “How could two people be so much alike”? she wondered. Even her daughter, Darylette, thought they were both Grampa!
Ever since our first meeting, we have had a connection that can only exist between brothers. We formed the Forever 13 Club. We
founded the Southwest Chapter of the Michigan Mountain Biking Association. And, of course, Daryl Daryl's Excellent Expeditions.
